Productivity bliss

Motivated and ambitious action makes us happy. It is the true source of our happiness, even though some people believe they go to work to earn money. This happiness is at the source of our ambition and motivation. We have dealt with this intensively in this course.

But even this real happiness can make us feel empty in the long run. Among other things, burnout syndrome bears witness to people who have shifted their focus in life too much to this pursuit of happiness. This real happiness also makes us prisoners of a way of life that used to be great.

And that in itself is okay. But life is short.

We want to explore happiness in a multitude of flavors

Once we have tapped into the foundation of our happiness and motivation, we are invited to explore two further dimensions:

  1. Meaning and pleasure as well as
  2. Easiness and existential snugness

I call the resulting cocktail of happiness, meaning, and ease “productivity bliss”. And this is the cocktail we love to sip from morning to evening.

The freedom, well-being, and happiness that emerge from such a way of life can be used to gradually shape our reality of life if we want to. And we can do that in a less spectacular way, through continuity, or in a more impressive manner with challenging projects. That’s up to taste.

Either way, exploring and modeling our reality of life becomes an act of freedom and ease. We are already happy. We already feel light and inspired. We are already humming in the steady, productive flow of our life force.

At best, it is only a matter of diversifying the taste of our experience.
